Balin Surf Clothing

Two surfers, Ian Brett and Jon Wilson established Balin in 1974. They met on the beaches of the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia and started a business producing Balin surfboard leashes and surfboards to support their lifestyle of surfing and travelling. Through constant experimenting and testing the two partners designed a new technically advanced Balin leash system that was later to become the standard for nearly all surfboard leashes. The Balin surf leash was far better than anything on the market and they set off around the world to sell their revolutionary product.Today Balin still produces the strongest surf leash ever, and Balin Clothing has grown into a world renowned brand for surfers all over the globe. Founding partner Jon Wilson still owns Balin and therefore the ethos of the brand is still very much about floating on a surfboard and not on the stock exchange. Balin, keeping it real since 1974.
