Hot Buttered began a programme back in 1988 to entice people back to the beach and encourage them to get out there and experience the thrill of riding waves. The initial range of Hot Buttered bodyboards was developed around the time that high density polyethylene slicks were launched. HDPE is a ductile material, which is perfect for bodyboarding as it is hardwearing and can flex without shattering. Hot Buttered have developed a range of bodyboards that are strong and durable and both as a brand and as a team of enthusiasts they strive to promote the sport and get more people involved.
Between 1999 and 2000 the Tapered Rail System was launched by Hot Buttered, a development initiated by bodyboard rails but evolving the needs of bodyboard prominence. Hot buttered have spent many years working on new ideas to create great bodyboard shapes and styles to give the best performance.
