Mini Mal Surfboards
The mini mal surfboards get their name from the fact that they are in the same shape and structure as the longer 'Malibu' type boards. These mini mal surfboards are more generally used by women surfers and lighter men as they as they offer a great mix between stability in the water, speed, manoeuvrability, buoyancy and weight. Mini mal surfboards are also used as a progression board for those who start off on a long board, or Malibu type board, and want to move on to a short board. With all of the same design features of the longer boards they offer an ideal stepping stone to the shorter type as they feel familiar but also will get a rider used to a more responsive and lightweight board. One of the main advantages of a mini mal surfboard is that due to their shape, they are great performers on smaller waves and so having one in your quiver means that no matter what the conditions are you'll generally be able to surf.

Despite having a classic surfboard shape our mini mal surfboards are far from old fashioned when it comes to the technology or materials used in their construction. Back in the day these mini mals would have been made of wood, which would have made them sluggish in the water and supremely awkward to even get them to the beach in the first place. Now with super tough epoxy and other advanced materials the mini mal surfboards can offer old school shape and feel without the weight dragging down your speed and manoeuvrability. As well as variations on the mini mal style, we've got a great collection of different art designs and decals here to choose from. Check out our huge range of multi-coloured, multi-featured mini mal surfboards and find your perfect wave riding hardware today.
