Tonn

Inspired by a deep love for Irish culture and the Irish coast in particular, Tonn (from the Irish for "wave") is a Dublin-based brand that specialises in organic and ethical apparel. Breathable and biodegradable, Tonn t-shirts and sweatshirts are made from 100% organic cotton that feels great on your skin, and manufactured in line with the social and environmental criteria laid out in the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). Each piece starts with a story, a moment, or a fragment of the landscape – a glimpse of blue through the dunes at sunset, the view from the water of Finian’s Bay overlooking the Skellig Islands, the markings on a piece of ancient Irish stonework, the way a wave crests at high tide. Next comes the original artwork, hand-drawn or lino-cut by hand. When the design is ready, every garment is individually screen printed by hand in Dublin, and the story of each design is attached to the recycled (and recyclable) swing-tag.
