Snowboard Type: The Process is an all mountain/ freestyle snowboard
Rider level: Suitable for all level of riders.
Profile: PurePop Camber (Reverse rocker). This board has a camber which is shortened in length, allowing two flat sections for loading before the nose and tail lift.
Shape: Twin shape with twin flex which is equal in the nose and rail.
Pro-Tip on the nose and tail is slightly tapered to reduce swing weight which makes it easier to maneuver around.
Scooped shape at the tip and tail gives you a more forgiving ride and looser feel.
Flexibility: Soft to Medium, rated 2 - 5.
Base: Sintered base, this base hold wax really well and is tough.
Core: FSC certified Super Fly 700G, which is light weight but strong.
Dualzone EGD is a perpendicular wood grain at the toe and heel edge. This adds strength and control to your board.
Squeezebox, which is varied thickness in the core. Thinner sections give you more flex and transfers energy to the tip and tail of the board.
Fiberglass: 30° Triax fiberglass.
Infinite Ride processed, which is when burton over build the board in order to break it in using a machine. This allows the board to maintain its flex from day 1.
Mounting: Channel mountain system which is quick and easly. This System gives you more flexibility when choosing your stance.
Compatible with most bindings on the current market, but not old 4X4 plate specific bindings.

The Process snowboard is a true all mountain snowboard rated 10/10 from burton but with a fun playfully feel which works well for freestyle and jibbing around. Due to the soft flex on this board its suitable for all levels of riders. The Process has a twin shape which is completely symmetrical, this is great if you enjoy riding regular and switch or are messing around in the park. The twin flex in this board mean that the nose and tail behave the same and you have more balance for spins, jibs and butters. The nose and tail have been tapered slightly to reduce the swing weight, this gives you more control over you board when making turns on the snow and rotations in the air.
The Process uses a PurePop camber, this is similar to a traditional camber but its slightly shorter to allow for a flat section at the nose and tail before the board lifts. This shape has the same benefits of camber such as increase stability when you are going fasts due to the increased contact with the snow and quick edge to edge transfers. The two flat sections allow you to load up energy before you pop. Plus, the nose and tail have an early rise which helps to create a more forgiving ride and a floaty sensation.
The base used on the Process is going to give you extra speed to get over any flat sections or sticky spring snow. The Process uses a sintered base which is much tougher, but slightly harder to maintain. The core used in the Process is super lightweight yet strong, the SuperFly 700G is made up of different strengths of wood which have been placed in specific areas to create a core with pop and strength. To add durability to the board, the Process has used Dualzone EGD. This is a wood grain that runs along the heel and toe edge perpendicular to the wood in the core. This feature improves the edge hold as well as strength. The core isn’t too stiff as it uses the Squeezebox system, this is the varied thickness of the wood along the length of the board to create more power and pop. The thicker sections are stiffer to add powers whilst the thinner sections create flexibility. This technique creates a livelier board which is easier to control.
To keep the board flexible and maintain a fun feeling, the Process uses Triax 30° fiberglass which prevents torsional flex but keeps the board soft. The Process uses Burtons frostbite edge which give you maximum bite into hardpack snow and ice. The edge extends below the bindings to improve your edge hold.
Although the Process is packs full of tech for performance, one of the best things is the infinite ride process. This machine compresses the board and breaks it in for you, so you have a continuous feeling of flex from the first run of the day. The Process board is a great board for someone who wants to do everything on the mountains and enjoys a flexible fun board. Although it’s a camber board, it would still suit someone who is learning due to the early rise on the nose and tail.
