This is Mark Richards' original twin-fin template, the one ridden to world-title success four years in a row from 1979 to 1982. The only difference is that now it comes with the option of a small trailing or "stabiliser" fin. Leave the stabiliser at home for maximum down-the-line speed, sideways squirrelly sensations, and a purer twin-fin experience; snap it back in (FCS II, no fin key required) for extra forward drive and "thrust".
You'll probably get best results in combination with more of an MR-inspired fish shape – think narrower, shallower, possibly winged swallow tail, maybe some sort of channel between the fins, an outline that more closely resembles a modern-day shortboard – as opposed to a traditional wide-tailed fish with a deeper swallow, which usually calls for more of a keel-style fin.
We've got 'em in a few different colourways, each featuring a psychedelic swirl design that somehow seems very appropriate for a twin fin. All look ace.
