  • Snowboard Type: Experimental style board with a freeride focus.
  • Rider Level: best suited to an intermediate to advanced rider.
  • Profile: C2 banana technology, this hybrid profile is made up of rocker inbetween your feet with camber either side. This gives you precision riding on the slopes and float in powder.
  • Shape Directional twin, with a 1" setback. The flex and shape of this board is symmetrical.
  • Flex Medium flex with a rating of 5- 6/ 10. The boards get slightly stiff as they get longer.
  • Board Construction: FP construction, this gives you a smooth ride with a lightweight board.
  • Core: 50% Aspen, 40% paulmownia and 10% balsa.
  • Tapered tip and tail gives this board low spin weight.
  • Base: Eco sublimated TNT
  • Fiberglass: Tri-Ax glass with a 45° basalt web. This gives the board stiffer sections to drive power and more flexible sections for torsional twist.
  • Topsheet: Bio beans top is eco friendly.
  • Sidewalls: Birch sidewalls internally run along the length of the toe and heel edge, outside of the birch runs UHMW sintered sidewalls. Whilst UHMW at the tip and tail increase impact deflection.
  • Edges: Magne-Traction edges are serrated to improve your edge hold, giving you better bite in icy conditions.

Before we drive into the tech on this snowboard, let’s take a moment to appreciate Nike Olson’s board design which is truly magical.

The Magic MB is a board built for riding powder and carving up ice. The shape of this board is a directional twin, this is a twin shape and flex giving the board consistency and a predictable response when riding regular or switch. However, there is a 1” set back which makes this a directional board as the nose is slightly longer giving you extra lift when riding powder. The low entry nose gives the board a floaty feel.

Away from the powder and back onto the piste the rocker/ camber hybrid gives you superb performance. The rocker is more forgiving and gives the board a skate like feel, whilst the camber adds pop to the nose and tail. The camber improves your carving by offering faster edge to edge transition, increased power in your turns and more stability for your schuss down the slopes. If you fancy taking this board for a spin in the park, its slim nose and tail have a reduced swing weight making it easier to perform rotations in the air and on the snow.

The Magic BM is best suited to intermediate to advanced riders as it’s a highly responsive board, thanks to the Tir-Ax fiberglass with a 45° basalt web. The base on this board is built for speed, the sintered construction retains wax really well and is highly durable. This base will help you fly over the flats and straight passed the skiers.

Lib-Tech boards are made in the Mervin factory in the USA. This factory is the most environmentally friendly factory which is powered with wind and water. The materials have carefully been selected to create an eco-board, made using renewable wood, low voc resin and bio topsheet. During the process of making the snowboard the Mervin factory uses water-based inks and sublimation. Plus, the final coating is no toxic, so it doesn’t run into our water streams and cause damage to the environment. It’s evident that climate change is having an impact on the mountain environment, so with a Mervin factory board to can reduce your carbon footprint whilst still enjoying a well man board which is going to give you a fun ride down the mountain.
