  • Snowboard Type: Experimental style board with a freeride focus.

  • Profile: C2ˣ banana technology, this hybrid profile is made up of short rocker inbetween your feet with elongated camber either side. This gives you precision riding on the slopes and float in powder.

  • Board Construction: OP+construction. This construction gives you a strong board which remains lightweight.

  • Tapered tip and tail gives this board low spin weight.
  • Fiberglass: Tri-Ax/ Bi-Ax glass. This gives the board stiffer sections to drive power and more flexible sections for torsional twist.
  • Top Sheet: Eco subllimated poly top
  • Sidewalls: Birch sidewalls internally run along the length of the toe and heel edge, outside of the birch runs UHMW sintered sidewalls. Whilst UHMW at the tip and tail increase impact deflection.
  • Edges: Magne-Traction edges are serrated to improve your edge hold, giving you better bite in icy conditions.

 The weight guide is low as these are the minimum weight recommended. 

Be the biggest fish on the mountain, or better still eat the fish! The Orca is one of Lib-Techs experimental freeride boards which shreds all terrain. The Ocra has a directional shape with a 7mm taper, this creates a longer nose for lots of float in powder and a short snappy tail. The short tail aka “whale tail tech” provides you with lots of pop. The Orca uses a C2x profile which is a hybrid between rocker and camber, the rocker is shortened, and the camber is lengthened. This combination gives you float in powder, control when carving and precision riding.

The Ocra is slightly wider in the waist which helps to reduce toe drag, plus it allows you to storm down hardpack snow and float over powder. The waist is still narrow enough for all mountain cruising and carving. The medium to firm flex combined with Tri-Ax fiberglass creates a responsive board, best suited for intermediate to advanced riders. For more aggressive riders, you can trust in the board Magne-Traction edges which bite into Ice and hardpack snow like a dream. The base is sintered which is hard and fast, this helps you to get through the sticky spring snow and over flats. No need to unclip and push your board along.

Lib-Tech boards are made in the Mervin factory in the USA. This factory is the most environmentally friendly factory which is powered with wind and water. The materials have carefully been selected to create an eco-board, made using renewable wood, low voc resin and bio topsheet. During the process of making the snowboard the Mervin factory uses water-based inks and sublimation. Plus, the final coating is no toxic, so it doesn’t run into our water streams and cause damage to the environment.
