Environmentalist, avid surfer and Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard and founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, Craig Matthews bonded over their love of the outdoors nearly 17 years ago and it sparked their thoughts on their responsibility as a business to protect the planet.
The solution? They set out to start a global movement. Encouraging companies to give back 1% of sales to environmental causes.
Yvon wants business owners to take responsibility, not focus on profits for shareholders. The idea is simple – companies that profit from resources taken from the earth should be protected.
