Absinthe Films have been a bit quiet for a while but it seems they’ve been brewing one hell of a movie. Under the direction of established film-maker, Justin Hostynek, Absinthe Films are all about presenting the highest level of progressive snowboarding in the most engaging way, and Heavy Mental does exactly that.
With quality snow in short supply and sketchy snowpacks in most areas, the aptly named movie takes us on an epic journey through the depths of the backcountry and into the realm of urban snowboarding. Featuring the likes of Austen Sweetin, Bode Merrill, Manuel Diaz and a pretty hefty avalanche slab, Heavy Mental has it all.
