King of the Groms: Round 1

King of the Groms 2015

Round one of the 2015 Kings of the Groms has been concluded, with the three judges (Jeremy Flores, Dane Reynolds and Craig Anderson) deciding on the 30 competitors that they want to see continue to the next round.

They also selected a winner for the three individual categories  #kingoftheair, #kingoftherail and #kingofthecombo with each surfer claiming $1000.

We were absolutely frothing on Weslley Dantas’ (brother to WSL surfer Wiggolly Dantas) entry in particular and could not get over the amount of water that he was throwing, finished with a cheeky air rev, absolutely nuts!

The next round will go to a public vote with Dane, Craig and Jeremy also picking  a competitor each. Each surfer is required to produce a clip from 1 to 2 minutes in length for round 2.
