Make Waves Move Mountains | ROXY

2018 was a special year for the Roxy brand. The year was most known for the launch of their Make Waves Move Mountains (MWMM) activewear campaign. The aim? To empower, inspire and support women in their individual challenges.
They’re not stopping there.. This year ROXY wants to bring the woman behind it to their highest heights yet as it embarks on its next step.

Roxy athletes are set to break even more records this year after Stephanie Gilmore won her 7th world title last winter in Hawaii she’s heading for a record-breaking 8th World Title – this will make her most titled female surfer ever.
Mountains more your scene? Skier Kelly Sildaru performed a near perfect run at this year’s X-GAMES bagging her 3rd gold medal at just 17 years old.
But you don’t need to be a professional to be supported by ROXY… Last year as part their worldwide tour 36,000 women across 10 countries got involved in the MWMM tour offering ride days, fitness events and women’s panels that highlight global female thought-leaders including sportswomen, businesswomen, musicians and artists.
This year the tour will continue planning 30 stops in 16 countries across four continents.
Danielle Mckenzie, Global Marketing Director of ROXY describes the MWMM movement as a ‘powerful statement’ but has struck a chord with women worldwide.
She said: “We are continually inspired by what the ROXY Girl is doing and sharing. Whether that be a professional rider, or simply a mother of two, looking to catch her breath on a beach walk – our aim is to continually support her with our collections and our message.”
