We know, we know, the January blues are in full swing. But the month is nearly over and then we’re into February – before you know it we’ll be in the height of summer. Roll on the warmth of sun on our skin, the smell of sunscreen and the chance to grab our surfboards and head out into the waves. We don’t know about you, but we think it’s time that we got our fix of vitamin sea.
So, whether you’re holding out for summer’s waves, or escaping to warmer climates for a winter surf getaway, what better time than now for Seea to release their latest collection? Creating functional, yet fashionable surfwear for chicks, Seea have taken inspiration from the indigenous tribes of Panama for their Spring/ Summer ’16 range. We’re talking eclectic prints and a good dose of fun, tropical colours.
C-Skin: (Comfort Skin) Fabric
As always, Seea look to seamlessly combine style with function and push the boundaries of stylish performance surfwear. That’s why they’ve introduced C-Skin: (Comfort Skin) for their top performance surf suits; not only is it like a second-skin but you’ll also stand out in the waves.
New for this season, Seea introduces C-Skin: (Comfort Skin) – a supple blend of polyester and spandex with multiple layers that are knit together. With a moisture-wicking, breathable knitted fabric construction and a tailored fit for incredible next-to-skin comfort, you’re set to ride in style from paddling out to catching barrels back in.
That’s why we’re loving the Gaviotas Surfsuit. Not only will the 1mm neoprene keep you warm, but the fabric also offers UV protection. In typical Seea fashion, function also combines with style – just try and say no to the vintage brushstroke fans.
Our Top Picks:
“Seea always combines geometric with organic prints but this time I wanted it to be an even stronger juxtaposition of prints and even brighter colors.”
– Seea designer, Amanda Chinchelli
Well, it’s no exaggeration that the latest collection has got us all going a bit weak in the knees. Of course, we can’t go to jelly completely as the collection has only inspired us to grab our boards and get out there, asap!
The Anglet swimsuit is a definite favourite of ours – with the simple silhouette to the front and strappy back detailing (see below). The vintage-fan print enhances Seea’s elegance, whether you’re longboarding in the waves or practising sun salutations on shore. Plus, the seamless edges guarantee a comfortable fit. And we’re nothing but psyched to see the Hermosa One Piece revamped for Spring/ Summer 2016. With the gorgeous pattern, sweetheart bust detail and 50s inspired cut, there’s no doubt that this suit will have you looking elegant in the waves from the Pacific swells in Panama to summer SUP sessions back home.

The Capitola bikini is also guaranteed to have your back in the surf. The top offers a comfortable and supportive fit with an elastic band under the bust while the bottoms are also designed to stay put as you pull into those barrels. Plus, it’s comfortable enough to wear as a bralette top and is also completely reversible – perfect for going from Aztec prints one day to tie dye the next. And speaking of tie dye, we’ve got hearts in our eyes for those Balboa surf leggings – a stylish hybrid between a fast-drying wetsuit and yoga pants. The Balboa and Calafia (see above) are the perfect alternative to flimsy bikini bottoms and heavy wetsuits; both flexible and comfortable, these surf leggings are also ideal for pre-surf yoga workouts. Now, if only we could wear them to the office…
