Maximum adventure for you, minimum landfill for the planet
Osprey has been manufacturing high-quality backpacks since 1974, and whilst known for their technical and durable products, they are also making huge steps towards sustainability.

From forest trails to mountain peaks to beach breaks, Osprey endeavours to leave the world better than they found it by continuing to evolve their processes, ensuring they leave as little trace as possible. That includes building the most durable products, introducing high-quality recycled materials, implementing better chemistry and offering their All Mighty Guarantee.
The Osprey All Mighty Guarantee is a service available to Osprey customers in need of backpack repairs. Sustainably-built backpacks are a huge step forwards for the environment, but the brand also aims to keep its backpacks in use and in the outdoors for as long as possible. That means maximum adventure for you, minimum landfill for the planet.

How does it work?
Simply put, should you find any defects in the way your pack has been built, Osprey will repair or replace it free of charge within its reasonable lifetime. While the All Mighty Guarantee mainly focuses on pack defects, the brand will still do what’s possible to repair your pack if any damage has been caused by wear and tear or accidental damage. Although limitations on stock, colour or fabric may vary from the original, Osprey will do what they can to bring your pack to a functional state, so you can plan for your next adventure stress-free.

Convinced your pack has reached the point of no repair? Osprey will always use the best method for a functional repair upon physical inspection of the pack. They look at each case individually and the final decision will be provided upon evaluation of the pack in question. Pretty cool right?
If it can be repaired and it’s economical to do so, Osprey will do it. Obviously, there are some exceptions to the rule. If you wish to find out more, all of the information on ‘what’s not covered’ can be found here.
The process
- Submit a guarantee request via this link. You will first be prompted to create an account if you do not already have one with the brand. This is a simple process, with minimal information needed.
- Provide as much information as possible to assist with your request. You’ll be asked for photos of the issue as well as photos of the product in its entirety.
- You will also be asked for the pack information (pack name, volume, and PO number). This can be found on the back of the black MADE IN VIETNAM tag that is located inside the main part of the backpack, sewn into the side of the backpanel seam.
- You will also be asked for personal information including your full name, address, email and telephone number (this information is only used in relation to your case).
- You’ll then be assigned a unique reference number to your case. The team at Osprey will be in touch with the outcome of your claim as soon as they are able to do so.
- If a repair is possible, Osprey asks that you ensure your pack is emptied and washed before it is posted for repair. This is an essential safety measure for Osprey colleagues, particularly the Repair Team – the miracle workers who perform many of the repairs by hand.

Time frame
Osprey states that the average turnaround time for repairs in the UK is 1 day, and you should expect to receive your pack back within 1 week after sending. For EU customers, the brand advises that the average turnaround time extends to 5 days. You should then expect to receive your pack around 2 weeks after sending it from mainland Europe. – Please note that these timeframes are not a strict guarantee
When it comes to costing, you will only pay for the initial shipping cost of sending the pack to Osprey to be repaired. Pack repairs are then performed free of charge (*excluding mechanical repair on wheeled travel packs). They’ll also cover the cost of returning the pack to you.
What’s next?
With the Osprey All Mighty Guarantee, the brand is making great progress to keep waste out of landfill. But, even if your current pack has reached its last trip, Osprey has made sure that your next one won’t make a dent on the environment.
As a bluesign® System Partner, the brand uses bluesign® approved and recycled materials, submitting to third-party labs for auditing, and adheres to the bluesign® Restricted Substances List [RSL] keeping harmful chemicals out of the environment. In addition, paper is recycled and FSC-certified, and all poly bags are made from 100% recycled and recyclable content.

On a mission to protect the planet we all love to explore, Osprey is also committed to supporting initiatives that give back to people and the planet. From supporting environmental projects including Nimsdai Purja’s K2 Mountain clean-up, providing funding for EOCA conservation projects across the globe to ensuring our end-of-life backpacks are donated to universities and colleges for sustainability projects and waste reducing incentives.
