We are stoked to share a piece of news that is sure to brighten up your week. Roxy are launching a brand new competition to see just how far you are willing to dare yourself. The prize? Only an epic adventure with Roxy’s finest athletes, and up to $5,000 as well. Feeling inspired? Thought so.
From January 24th participants from all over the world are invited to enter the Dare Yourself contest via Roxy’s Facebook page. All you need to do is submit a 150-word essay with 3 photos or a one minute video outlining you Dare Yourself to dream big, live unique lives, and carve your own path.
For the purposes of Dare Yourself, the globe will be divided into 5 regions: North America, Latin America, North Asia, South Asia and Europe, Africa and the Middle East, meaning that a total of 5 winners will be chosen. On March 29th, everyone will have the chance to vote via Facebook to narrow the entries to their 150 favorites. On April 12th, a panel of Roxy judges will then choose 10 finalists per global region, who will be asked to create a challenge video. The global judging panel will choose 5 winners – 1 winner per global region, which will be announced on June 25th, 2013.
But that’s not all. Throughout the contest, entrants will also be invited to participate in weekly, inspiring dares and post images to social media channels utilizing the Twitter hash-tag: #ROXYDARES. This is the first week of the photo challenge with the theme being Carve Your Own Path, so get thinking, and get photographing!

• Consumer Voting: March 29th – April 12th
• Top 50 Finalists Announced: May 2nd
• Finalist Videos Go Live: May 31st
• Consumer Voting on finalist Videos: May 31 st- June 10th
• Winners Announced: June 25th
