It’s still cold. We know. We have to walk to work like everyone else despite the rumour that everyone at Surfdome is carried to the office in a sedan chair from the tube every day. Throughout the year you will also find some of us even running to work, with more still running home. Now that the snow has stopped, or at least taking a break, folk are layering up and getting back into this habit again, smashing those new year resolutions naysayers’ predictions to dust.
What else would you expect, we’re a company of sports nuts.
Road running is all well and good if you want to get your fix of aerobic training done and get home to see if there’s anything fun happening on Come Dine With Me, but it’s just not enough for some people. Off road and trail running is getting massive in Britain with events, races and competitions at all levels on most weekends, if not every weekend, during the warmer months and still fairly frequently in the cold weather.
Whatever type of running you are into, we’re cool with it. As long as you’re having fun and getting out there we’re happy. We’ll even supply you with all the gear you could ask for. To get you started, here are our top picks for runners, both male and female, road and trail, this season. We’ve found that Brooks, Saucony and Mizuno have truly outdone themselves this year and are offering something a bit special for an entirely sensible price. Use the savings to load up on some high tech running gear to really refine your training.
