Founded 13 years ago, the SIMA Image awards was established to recognize outstanding contributions and innovation within the surf industry. And no year has been more exciting than 2015. With guest speakers and celebrity presenters including; Josh Kerr, Mike McGill, Christian Hosoi and Steve Caballero, the night was set to be a stormer and it did not disappoint. The posse at Rip Curl were the big winners of the night, gracing the stage a total of five times to pick up various gongs. The Roark Revival were another big winner, picking up two awards for their surf and travel inspired, functional threads.
So here’s to 2015 and everything it has brought us! I for one, cannot wait to see what this year brings to the table. Whether its wave pools or wetsuits, we’re in.
