Surfdome Team Picks
“The plan is to pack up the van and take it down to Cornwall on its maiden voyage, before heading back up via Croyde for a few days. We are looking to hike around the coastal path and find a few swim spots, as well as some mellow surf sessions on the softboard. I find you can’t go wrong with a solid pair of Merrells, whilst Rhythm’s summer offerings just keep on giving.”
“I’ll be going to Puglia on Italy’s east coast, staying in an old seaside town near beautiful beaches. So I’ll be bringing a bucket hat to protect me from the sun and some Birkenstocks to explore the area in comfort. To keep hydrated in the heat I’ll carry with me a reusable water bottle at all times and keep it inside my colourful Patagonia backpack. And I’ll be ready to go!”
“France in summer means long days at the beach, warm water (currently 25°C!), cold bevs, fun waves, and trying not to get sand in your baguette. Keeping everything (including yourself) at the right temperature is key. If you’re travelling light – I’ll be taking the train, as usual – a cooler might seem like an indulgence, until you realise you can use it as luggage. Genius. Plus this one has a leakproof liner so you can use it wet boardies or wetsuits.”
“It’s a running joke that I only ever wear black, but this summer I’m feeling uncharacteristically… colourful. I’ve got a trip to Bali planned so I’ll be packing the aptly named Paradise Mini Dress by Billabong – floaty and feel-good in a “fit & flared” style, with a wicked smocked panel at the back of the bodice and a classic straight neckline. I’m also loving the Kulani Kinis range, new to Surfdome this year.”
