Woah, what a way to end eight weeks of summer in London!
Sunshine, parties, music, live art, talks, athletes, workshops, giveaways, SUP/skate/wake in the city – it’s been a gud’un and a busy one!
So it was only fitting that we threw our end of season finale in epic surf-meets-city style. After closing the doors one last time on our Surf Old Street pop-up (it’s was emotional!), we headed to 71A Gallery on Leonard Street with O’Neill and Huck Magazine for an evening of exhibitons, music and ale aplenty.
As well as marking the end of Surfdome’s underground takeover, the event also paid tribute to the last stop of O’Neill’s #TodayIsPerfect bus tour. Guests were treated to an exhibition of highlights from both events as well as a chance to hang out on O’Neill’s very awesome tour bus.
The exhibition space soon turned into a stacked party when Le Soso kicked things off on the decks, with O’Neill DJ Samiad taking the music into the early hours. Aaron Fyfe also picking up his guitar for an impromptu bus gig for the lucky crew on board.
Thanks to Skinners Brewery and Little Miracles who ensured no one was left thirsty and Portlebay Popcorn who saw off any hunger pangs with their delicious snacks.
Truly amazing to see so many of the faces that have supported us every step of the way this summer. You guys certainly know how to #enjoytheride! ‘Til next time…
