17 years ago Mike Coots faced a surfer’s worst nightmare. When out surfing in Hawaii, he lost his leg to a tiger shark. For most, that would be end the of their surfing career. The thought of re-entering the ocean after such a traumatic experience is a feat in itself. But to also do it with a prosthetic leg is an astonishing achievement. That’s why Mike Coots is a legend and has brightened up our Monday multiple times over. His expression after his wave says it all. We wish him many fine waves in the future, he deserves it!
