Inspired by the campaign #LikeAGirl we decided it was the perfect chance to put out something for girl skaters. Questioning the stereotype that many people have of girl skaters, as a lot of people have it so wrong. Really they are a diverse bunch of people, who get on boards, for the same reason guys do. Yes, there are fewer numbers but that doesn’t make them a weird breed.
We headed to Bay Sixty 6 for Girls Night which was started by skater Amy Ram and is run on the first Friday of every month with a great turnout. It was a fun video to make as not even we really knew the answers to our questions, that was the point. There is no answer! It’s just skateboarding, which I hope this video encourages more girls to try now.
