Construction: Generation fins are made with expoxy resin (lighter than polyester), and gain drive and strength from the bi-directional carbon fibre in the base. Uni-directional fibreglass is then layered through the tip for improved flex, woven with strands of poly-fibres for a stronger fin, and overlaid with uni-directional carbon-fibre strips. These reinforce the the leading edge which focuses flex on the tip, resulting in a "snappy torsional twist".
Ride Number: 8.4 – this fin is designed to generate heaps of speed
Suitable Conditions: Best suited to waves in the small to medium range
The Ride Number scale, which goes from 1 to 10, indicates whether a fin is built for controlling speed (1-3), generating it (7-10), or a bit of both (4-6)
